Obedience Brings Blessings

A few months back I was walking across our den and heard the Spirit of God say, "Go to this place, and see this person." I said, "Okay." As I was responding to the Lord, he said, "There will be a couch for you." He also gave me a dollar amount of what the couch would cost.  First of all, I wasn't looking for a couch, but I know the voice of God and I got in my car and headed to that store.  As I was going, I received a phone call from Terry saying, "What are you doing?"  I told him what had happened and asked him to pray.  He said, "Try the spirit, and I will be praying."  I went into the furniture store and asked for the person God had instructed me to see.  The girl at the front desk informed me that she was off that day and would be in tomorrow.   I didn't let that bother me.  She said, "Is there anyone else that can help you?"  I told her, "No thank you, but I believe I will look around anyway."  As I was walking through the store, I heard a voice say, "Well, Kathy Mai, what are you doing here?"  It was the person that God had told me to see at this store.  We conversed a little and I told her they had informed me she wasn't in today.  She said, "I was not supposed to be, but I had my husband bring me in for a couple hours."  Imagine that!!!  God knew she was going to be there, or he would not have told me to go.  I began to share with this woman what God had spoken to me earlier in the morning.  As I was looking around that store, there sat a couch that I knew would be perfect.  Looking from a distance, I thought surely that must be the one.  I went to that couch and it was a little more than I knew the Lord had spoken to me, but I knew it had to be the one.  My friend began to talk to me about some things in her life.  I have known this woman for quite a few years, and we have always been able to speak frankly and honestly to one another.   She asked me to pray about a few things, and I began to share with her how obedience is what will brings God's blessings upon a person.  I also told her what I thought one of the things God might be instructing her about obedience.  This is not my nature, but it was in my spirit, and I knew that I needed to tell her.  Also, shortly before that, God had given me a tongue and interpretation in a service, and it started out with "Be strong in the Lord, and the power of his might!!!!"  As I shared this with my friend,  God began to minister faith to us both.  You know Romans 1 talks of mutual faith comforting one another.   This has happened to me on numerous occasions.  It is God that ministers through all of us.  .

After a period of time, my friend went to check on some information and Terry called me back.  He said, "So what is happening?"   I explained to him that I had found what the Lord had told me. I asked him if he would come later and look with me.  He agreed.  The price was a little more than what I had heard, but Terry told them to give us the figures. They got everything worked out and said, "If you will pay cash it will be such and such amount." Well, we had intended to do that anyway, and that brought the couch to the amount that God had spoken to me.  Terry said, "Let's do it."  I did not know that a check had come in the mail that day for the amount of that purchase.  God spoke, I obeyed, and my friend and I were both blessed.  As a result of her obedience, she became the number one sales person for the next two months.   God honors obedience.   Not only that he knows what we need and when.  Matthew 6:33 tells us that if we will seek the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, all things will be added unto us.  If you will seek the Kingdom of God, you don't have to spin your wheels looking for things.   The Lord will speak to you and tell you where to go.  This is the way we walk.   So I encourage you all to believe this gospel.   It is the power of God unto salvation.

 One More Time

I have titled this "One More Time" because we see the power of God move for us on a daily basis.  Whether it be small or large he is always moving, because we seek him daily.  Last week, one night I was cooking dinner for the family.      Candace's cat had been with us because she had been out of town for a few days.  I had made up some sauce for lasagna.   We have a flat top cook stove, so as I finished and began putting the lasagna in a dish, I simply moved the skillet back.  No  more than I had put a layer of meat sauce in the dish, Milo jumped up on that cook stove right on that burner.  He jumped straight into the air, let out a squeal and came right back down on that burner before I could get him off.  Terry and Ashley  ran to see what was up, because they heard Milo and me.  I was a little shaken to begin with, but Terry spoke to me by the    Spirit of God and said, "He will be okay!!!"  I thought that is easy for you to say, but I knew it was right.  Those words also calmed my Spirit and I was reminded of years ago when I had burnt my hand.  I was cooking fish sticks for the girls when we lived in Murphy.  When that buzzer went off on the timer,   I opened the door of the oven, and picked up that little corning ware skillet with my bare hand.  That was bad enough, but I just sat staring in disbelief that I could be that dumb.  Finally, I let go of that skillet and it shattered all over the kitchen floor.  I began to pray, and to shorten this part of it, the power of God healed my hand.  The pain left and I have no scars on that hand.  Well, as Terry spoke to me, I began to be reminded of this happening to me.  I said in my heart, "Lord that power is the same today as it was those many years ago. I believe you will do for that cat what you did for me."  Do you know that is exactly what he did?   I am so grateful to have been given the slight revelation of the power of God that I have received.  God's mercies are new every morning and Milo received that mercy.

A couple days later a friend and I stopped by my house for a second.  We left the back door ajar and the garage door up.  Milo has never been outside at our house, except in one of our arms to get in a car.  I was showing my friend some painting that we had done over the past year and I noticed that Ginger, our toy poodle, was going nuts.  I didn't think much about it, because she and Milo do that when they are playing.  So as we came out of the girls bedrooms and headed toward the back door, I noticed it was open.  I made a couple comments and I told her,"You stay here, and I am going back into the house to make sure Milo isn't there."  I was walking around that house praying, realizing that he was not inside.  I went out the front door and I said, "Lord!"  I heard the Spirit of God say to me, "He'll be back."  I went from the front door to the back to find my friend trying to coach him back in the house.  He had only gone a short distance out of the garage.  I know people won't believe this, but I frankly don't care what you believe.  The power of God kept that cat from running away.   When you walk with God you expect him to handle everything that is around you, including the pets!!!!  I had some experience trusting God would keep that cat from getting away, because he taught me to trust him with one of my daughters.  When Ashley was little she was very curious.  She went to the mall with my mom and I one day, and the next thing I knew she was not in the stroller.  We were in a large department store and I called for her. I was trying to stay calm and believe and the Lord spoke to me and said, "She'll be back."  I stood there calling her name and here she came out from under one of those round clothes racks that they hang merchandise on.  That taught me a valuable lesson about trusting that God will cause a person to do what they need to be doing.  I have never forgotten that over the years.  I believe him for my children.  They also believe if they are somewhere they should not be that God will tell us.  They learned that very quickly.  So I encourage you women, young and a little older as well, believe the power of God.   It brings whatever you need, no matter what it might be, NOTHING is impossible if we can believe.   God bless you.

         They Got What They Believed

As I was dancing before the Lord the other night, He began to minister to be about the Syrophenician woman out of Mark 7.  I was reminded of her faith when she came to Jesus to have the devil cast out of her daughter.  If you read about this woman she was not going to give up until she knew that her child would be delivered.  Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled, for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. This woman answered him and said, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the childrens crumbs.  Jesus said, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. I knew the Spirit of God was putting me in remembrance of this woman's faith and He was encouraging me of some things in my own life.   I am at a place right now, I don't care what you call me, I refuse to doubt or let go of Jesus.  One thing he has taught me is if I will come to him, He will in no wise cast me out.  Men and women will, but Jesus said, He will not!!!   This morning as I was ironing the Lord started talking to me about the widow that came to the unjust judge out of Luke 18.  I know the Father was encouraging me to continue praying believing and not faint.  He knows what I'm doing, and he was saying keep it up.  That judge didn't fear God, nor regard man, but because the widow continued to come to him, he avenged her of her adversary.  The Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.  He says, shall not god avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?  I tell you he will avenge them speedily.  Nevertheless when the son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

These are two women that did not give up until they received what they came to receive.  I have learned over the years if I will continue to hold fast and cry out unto the Lord he will come through every time.  The problem most of us have is continuing to cry out.  We lack patience which is continuance.   This is the way of life and it takes every bit of effort you have to enter into the things of the Kingdom of God.  The scripture tells us The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

I pray that putting you in remembrance of these things will encourage you to continue to fight the good fight of faith, as the Spirit of God encouraged me.

God bless you - Kathy

I Am Persuaded

Hello again!  I would like to share some things with you today that I believe might help you and me.  When we set our heart upon the gospel, the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and we begin to be led by the Spirit of God, we will be led down some strange paths.  I have experienced in my own walk with the Lord that I have been to the place many times where I felt that I could not go another step.   Praise God, His grace is always sufficient.  I remember years ago when the light of the glorious gospel was exposing the darkness of my heart.(I might add right here, it still is, but I just know how to believe on through the things that are being exposed.)  When this first started happening to me, my self-righteousness would get in the way of my faith.  One of the biggest lessons that I have learned is that righteousness comes by faith. We can not save ourselves.  If you are a bit religious, and trust me, if you have been raised in America, somewhere you have religious roots, your self-righteous heart will convince you how it should be.  Speaking from experience, that is not the way it is at all.  Thank God, that through believing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, His righteousness will be revealed in our lives.  We have discussed before that righteousness is revealed through the gospel.  Righteousness is doing the will of the Father.  When Jesus was on this earth,  He was always doing the will of the Father, and that is what a person that is walking in the Spirit of God today should be doing as well.  It is Christ in us, the hope of glory.
I would like for us to look in Romans 8:31-39:  What shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son,  but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give him all things?  Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect?  It is God that justifieth.  Who is he that condemneth?  It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?   As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  This is a proven fact in my life.  There have been many times over the past years that the devil, my unbelief, or people yielding their members as weapons of unrighteousness against me have tried to convince me that God was not with me.  I am not talking about the heathen.  I am talking about people in the Body of Christ who call themselves Christians.  I find in the church that there are few people who know the meaning of "Lordship".  The charismatic movement is full of people that fit this bill.   They are born again, baptized in water and baptized in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, but they still are doing their own thing.  I stumbled across Matthew 7 one day while I was reading.  Obviously the Spirit of God convinced me that I did not want to be found in that group of people.  Let's read Matthew 7:21-23:   Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven.  Many will say unto me in that day,  Lord, Lord have we not prophesied in thy name? and in they name have cast out devils?  and in thy name done many wonderful works?  and then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  It is not easy for everyone to accept that people that are filled with the spirit and professing to know Jesus can be walking in rebellion, but this scripture pretty well sums that all up.  When a person has truly presented themselves as a living sacrifice as written in Romans 12 they are not going to walk in rebellion against God.  Why?  By believing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and being led by his spirit he will show you what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.  I thank God that he gave us a little space to work out our salvation.  You know we did not get into bondage overnight and I am here to tell you unfortunately, we do not come out overnight.  The important thing is though, that we can come out of bondage and it comes through mixing faith with the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.

As you have noticed, I have titled this overcoming, I Am Persuaded.  Every person will come to a place in their walk with the Lord where you will have to believe this.   We have to believe that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.  If you can not count on anything else, you must count on this.   I have had to continue to hold fast to the gospel and believe what Romans 8 says:  NOTHING can separate me from the love of God.  By the grace and mercies of God, He has granted me the grace to believe this.  I have seen the Lord come through for me when everyone around me thought I was crazy.  I didn't say a word, and I just kept on walking.  If you will look with me at the last two verses of the book of Jude.  Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.  Amen.   I held on to this scripture with all the strength that I had, and I can honestly say that Jesus has made this servant stand.  What was required of me was to believe that he could, but do you know even when I was struggling, He remained faithful and continued to bring me through.  I know that there are people out there who are saying, "Kathy, I haven't the faintest idea what you are talking about!"  I understand totally.  My dad used to tell us things, and I had absolutely no understanding, but there came a day when the eyes of my understanding were enlightened.   There may only be one person who reads this and understands, but if it will help one, then Praise God.  I will go to any length the Lord leads me to encourage a person to believe the gospel.  Jesus said in Hebrews 13:5 that he would never leave us, nor forsake us.  That is a powerful promise to a person that will believe.  You might ask me, "Kathy, how can you believe in something you can't see."  You just believe.  That is where Romans 1:16 comes in to play.   For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.  It does not say to everyone that seeth and believeth.   I am not ashamed, means I am not afraid to trust in.  If we wait to see everything before we believe, we might just miss it.  Jesus spoke to Thomas in John 20:29: Thomas, because thou has seen me, thou hast believed: "blessed are they that have not seen, yet have believed."  That is what you and I have to do, we have to believe the gospel, trust in that power that is available through believing the gospel, and then we will see the results.
So, I encourage you to believe that nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.  The Lord will convince any person that will dare to believe the gospel that He is with you.  It does not matter what is going on around you, that Spirit that lives inside of you was tempted in all points, yet with out sin.(Hebrews 4)  Believe that!  Well, I'll close for now.  God bless you.

I Hear You Always

Several years back, I was in my daughter Ashley's room taking sheets off her bed.  I was not even praying out loud, but I was just thinking in my heart.  I heard the Lord say to me, I hear you always.  I cannot tell you what that did for me.  I knew where that was in the Bible when Jesus was praying for Lazarus to be raised from the dead.   John 11:41-44says:  Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. 43And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. 44And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. Jesus knew that the Father heard him.  He was in constant communication with Him.  Is that not what prayer is?  A pouring out of our hearts to the Father and the Son, expecting to hear what they want us to do?  Also, because of the work that Jesus accomplished when He raised from the dead, giving us the right to come boldly before the throne of grace in a time of need.   Jesus said, "My house shall be called a house of prayer."  I learned early on about the importance of communicating with the Father, and I also see Him answer prayers on a regular basis.  Why? Because He puts them in my heart.  I am not praying for my desires, but God has made His desires mine.  If we remember Jesus said He only did the Father's will.  That is where we all have to come in our lives.  I don't do my own things anymore.  I know what God wants me to do before I do it.
One of the first prayers God ever answered for me was in the early l970's.  I needed a new car badly.  The one I had been driving died on the side of the road, and God said it was time to get a new one.  I was riding in the car with my Dad, and he looked at me and said, "Are you believing for a Grand Prix?" I exclaimed, "Yes!!!!"  At that time in my life, I didn't know that God was interested in those kinds of things.  I have come to see that He will go to great lengths to cause a person to believe His power.  God began teaching me early about prayer and the power of God.   I am so grateful that I found mercy in His sight.
A year ago, the Spirit of God put something in my heart to believe for someone else.  This is not uncommon, but this was really cool.   There was a specific figure in my heart, and I know that God put it there.   Within 24hrs God had met that need, and we were able to do what we believed He wanted.  I have seen Him do that time and time again over the years.  I have confidence that God hears me.  There have been prayers offered up that no one knows, and I just watch Him bring them to pass.  There was a time that God led me to pray a prayer for a specific person.  I said, "Lord, why would you have me pray for that person?"  He said, "You may be the only one to obey me."  I never asked Him again why or what for.  I just know that if He puts a prayer in my heart, He is getting ready to bring it to pass.
Yesterday, I was talking to God about my own life.   Within a few hours He had spoken to me and others about some things I was asking Him.  I Corinthians 12 tells us that God sets every member in His body as it pleases Him.  It also says that one member cannot say to another, "I have no need of thee."  In order for the body to function correctly, every member should take their place as God has ordained and operate therein.   Not everyone is the head, the hand, or the foot.  We are set as it pleases God.  If we all operate as the foot, there is no whole body.  I encourage you to read this chapter, and I pray that God grants us all understanding.
I am so grateful for the things that God has taught me.  I also am grateful to share with other women things that will encourage them to believe the gospel and trust that power that is available through believing.  There is instance after instance that I knew God heard my cry.   It is written in John 21:25 about the Lord Jesus. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
I could write many more examples of the Lord hearing me, but it would take forever to write them all down.  My point is to minister to you that the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are open unto our cry.   When no one else will listen, He will.  Not only does He listen, but He will do something about it.  Remember, God responds to faith.  Our faith stands in the power of God.  Jesus said, "If any man come unto me I will in no wise cast him out."
Don't be afraid to come to Him, He will not hurt you.  There have been things manifest in my heart that I thought surely God would wipe me off the face of the earth.  I am still here and not only that, I am moving forward in the Kingdom of God.  When your flesh wants to run, humble yourself and come unto Him.  He is the way, the truth and the life.    God bless you!

How Can You Believe?

I spent a great deal of my life trying to please people so they would like me.  Well, I have learned over the years that when you walk with God, you had better get over that.   All of us have to overcome the flesh, and flesh does not like God.  So if you or I are walking in the Spirit of God, and another person is walking in the flesh, they won't particularly care for you.  That is, when you have to hold fast to what God has said and believe the gospel.  Oh, I understand this is hard, especially when you are endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit.   In the early part of l998 I was on a trip to Aneheim, California with my Dad and two other people.  At that time we had more than one meeting in the cities that God sent us to, and one of those was a breakfast on Saturday morning.  This particular day the Lord took more of wanting man's honor out of my heart.   As I was listening to a person speak, the Lord began to speak to me from John 5:44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?  This scripture kept going over and over in my heart, and suddenly, I grasp hold of what God was saying to me.  "You can't believe if you care what people think!!!"   You will always be wondering what this one or that one thinks about what you are doing.  Well, you know what, if God told you something, it does not matter!!  I am still working some of this out as I share this with you.  Every person will have to come to a place that at the end of each day you know you have done what was your duty as a servant unto God to do.  God is bringing me to that place. All through the years we have heard things such as  "Well look what Terry and Kathy are doing.  They are walking in the flesh.   That can't be God."   I am not talking about God's prophets, I am talking about people who should have been working out their own salvation with fear and trembling.  I learned a long time ago that God might tell someone to do something that is right for them, but if another would attempt that same thing, it would be sin because it would not be in faith.  That is why it is called being led by the Spirit.   Jesus also told us that we should not judge after appearance, but to judge righteous judgement.  God knows what is in each individual heart and how He needs to lead us to overcome that.  After all, did He not create us?  I think He knows what He is doing!!!!  Anyway, moving on, as I sat there meditating and talking to God in my heart, I didn't hear another word that was spoken by the speaker.  All of a sudden, I heard my Dad's voice say, "Jane, do you have something to share?"   Boy, did I ever.  It wasn't easy, but I delivered what God had just spoken to me, and I overcame caring what a particular person thought of me.  I overcame by believing the gospel and what God had just showed me.   Every day we walk in the Kingdom of God is a war.  There is always something to overcome, and plenty to try and discourage us, but we always do overcome.  You say, well that's real encouraging.  You should be encouraged that someone would share the truth with you.  Even the rose gardens are filled with thorns.

Over the past two and a half years, all of us have had a chance to see if we want God's honor or the honor of man.  Do we believe what we say we do, or do we want man's approval?  Terry and I have received many wicked e-mails.  We have responded when God directs and without reservation.  I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.  It has been my salvation for over 35 years.  I would at this time like to respond to Marie.  If a person is sharing truth about another, why would I be bothered?  Also, I have the courage to do what God directs me to do, but I will not be pushed by evil spirits.  Namely, Jezebel and all her witchcraft's!!  I know that Spirit, and it will bait, pick, and provoke, and when you do respond, it turns and accuses you, "I knew it, I knew you were that way."  I've lived it for years.  You might consider what Spirit you are?  Also to Bill, scripture tells us, Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved, not Kathy.  I can not save anyone.  I pray, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.  And your desire is that all men should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.  That is my desire for Bill, Marie, Mr. Dennis, Pastor Duke or Buck, and all the others that have so graciously e-mailed or written to us.  I pray God bring us all to the knowledge of the truth.  Corinthians 2:9-16 states this: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

Every one of us will stand before Jesus one day and be accountable for our deeds.  I dare say few believe that.  I am not saying I have total revelation of this, but I know that I don't want to stand before the Lord and Him tell me I didn't obey Him because I wanted your honor more than the honor of God.  It is a scary thing to consider you could walk all your life thinking you were pleasing God, when in fact you were not.  Besides that, Hebrews 11:6 tells us the only thing that pleases God is FAITH.  We all know that faith comes by hearing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  By mixing our faith with the gospel, it causes us to overcome anything that is in our hearts.  That includes wanting the honor of man.

I have found that as I believe the gospel on a daily basis, the Lord is changing my heart where I love Him above every person.   I was raised by my Dad in the flesh, and I have had to learn how to lay down that flesh that I always tried to please, and please God.   I have found if I please God, He always handles the rest.  It takes humility to let God do in our lives what he pleases.  It is not always easy.   In fact, it can be painful.  Now someone will read this and say, "I don't have to listen to anyone but God."  That is not what I am saying.   I am not breeding rebellion.  I am saying we all must overcome knowing people after the flesh and walk in the Spirit of God.   I am still overcoming the flesh.  I will remind you II Chronicles 20:20 says Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. This absolutely works in our lives.  Try walking with a Dad and husband that are apostle-prophets, and having to consider everything that is coming out of their mouth.  Also instructing my girls, you had better consider what is being said to you.  It is possible, I am a living example.  Oh, I have had some heart changes, you better know, this has not been a cake walk.  I am sure there will be some more, but I thank God for where I am, and that I'm learning to walk as a woman of God.  I also thank Him for the amount of caring what people think of me that He has removed from my heart.  It is not fun when you care more about a person than you do about God.  I remind you again what Jesus said, How can ye believe? Men and women didn't die for us or be raised from the dead for us.  They were not the perfect sacrifice that came to the earth and emptied Himself of all His heavenly privileges and walked as a man.  God gave his only begotten son so we could live and not die in our sins.  Isaiah 53:10 says it pleased the Lord to bruise him, he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin  Is there any other man besides Jesus that has done that? Or is there any other name a person may call upon to be saved?  That is why we live unto Him.  He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.  That is why we must seek the honor of God only.  God will lead a person that is believing the gospel to overcome the flesh.  That will include yours.  When He opens up your heart and shows you what is there, you will see no good thing.  Then you will be grateful for what He is doing in your heart.  You will understand what Paul expressed in Romans 7 O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from this body of death? The next verse tells us through Christ Jesus our Lord.  If we are to know no man after the flesh including Jesus, we certainly should not be seeking their honor.  Jeremiah 17:5-10 says Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. This right here encourages me why we should seek the honor of God only. If we trust in a man, we are cursed.  I don't know anyone who is looking to be cursed, but I dare say all of us have trusted in man.  I encourage you to believe this gospel and endeavor to seek the honor that cometh from God only and not want to know a person after the flesh.   That is what I am making every stride to do in my own life.  God bless all of you who read this overcoming.
